Sometimes what we see in the mirror isn’t a true reflection of what’s going on. Our perception of our bodies can be very deceptive. If we struggle with a poor body image, we can experience a cascade of issues that can lead to eating disorders, exercise addiction, and other destructive behaviors that are unhealthy.
We invited Kelly Gifford to the show to
discuss this issue. Kelly joins the show to share her tips on
how to heal a poor body image and how to cultivate real confidence.
She is the owner of Kelevate, a podcast host, and is a personal
fitness trainer and nutritionist. She dives into
how her body image struggles were the result of a ton of
conditioning, internalized fat-phobia, diet culture and the
suppression of a lifetime of pain, shame and insecurity.
